GBPSC currently operates 3 disciplines: Pistol, SMG/ Submachine Gun & Rifle.
These disciplines make up the 3 competition classes, with multiple divisions under each class
Pistol Class
Pistol class encompasses any gel blaster that falls within the definition of a pistol. Pistols must be able to be held with one hand, no shoulder stocks are permitted.
Pistols in this class are limited to standard capacity (blaster specific standard) magazines only, no extended magazines are permitted.
Divisions
GBB/Gas Blowback Division:
This division encompasses any pistols using compressed gas (ie. green gas, co2, hpa) as the primary method
of propelling the gel ball out of the blaster and cycling the action. Semi-automatic style pistol blasters are
the only style of blaster permitted in this division, such as Glock, 1911/2011, Beretta & SIG style pistols.
Revolver Division:
This division encompasses any pistol built in a “revolver”style, such as J or K frame revolvers
(Smith & Wesson style for example), Colt Peacemaker & other similar styles.
Electric Division:
This division encompasses any pistols powered by battery to create compression inside the pistol
as the primary method of propelling the gel ball out of the blaster.
SMG/Submachine Gun Class
SMG/Submachine Gun class emcompasses the use of any gel blaster that falls within the definition of an SMG. Therefore blasters permitted in this class must
be based on a “real steel” pistol calibre firearm (“stick magazines”). Gel blasters in this category must not exceed 70cm in length with the buttstock fully extended
(if a non-fixed extendable buttstock is fitted). Blasters in this class MUST be firmly shouldered when firing.
Divisions
Semi/Single Division:
This division encompasses any gel blasters that fit the definition of an SMG/Submachine gun.
To be permitted in this division, the blaster must have a working fire select that contains
semi-automatic/single shot as one of the options. The blaster does not have to be “locked”
to semi-auto, but during the course of the event, can only be placed in safe or semi-auto.
Auto Division:
This division encompasses any gel blasters that fit the definition of an SMG/Submachine gun. To be
permitted in this division, the blaster must have a working fire select that contains
automatic/continuous fire as one of the options. The blaster does not have to be “locked” to
automatic/continuous fire, but during the course of the event, can only be placed in safe or auto.
Rifle Class
Rifle Class encompasses the use of any gel blasters that fall within the definition of a rifle. Therefore, blasters are only permitted in this category if based
on a “real steel” rifle calibre firearm. Gel blasters in this category must be a minimum length of 70cm (with buttstock at minimum extension if an
extendable buttstock is fitted on the blaster). Blasters in this class MUST be firmly shouldered when firing.
Divisions

course of the event, can only be placed in safe or auto.
